I recently brought my V2 out with me when I brought some overseas friends to Melaka and KL, and also on a visit of the night safari. Found that it worked well in general low light conditions, like within the city for cityscape night shots, but in the low light trails of the night safari, I had troubles getting my shots. Have you tried shooting at the night safari? Care to share your thoughts?

Thanks Carl. I do encounter AF hunting in low light with native 1 Nikkor lenses, esp when contrast is low, just try to focus on higher contrast area then re-compose. With the 300mm f/4, i would overwrite using manual focus since lens has M/A mode.
