You can get spectacle shop to make for you. Bring the original eye piece and ask them to modify.

wow good idea, just wonder how much it costs? may be can check with them soon . tks for enlighten.

Not really expensive. I tried Sin Chew in Thompson Plaza, about 20 dollars each. Long time ago though.
The boss used to play camera, also long time ago.

Just recounted the SLR in the cabinet. All the Nikon SLR are OK and firing well.

Nikon F501 aka 2002 still good. Better than FM3A, less than $100 now.
Mounted a 35mm F2 / 24mm F2.8 for street.

Nikon F601, still OK, but battery is not easy. About $100 now.
Mounted the 55mm F2.8 micro.

Nikon F70 with back, two Lithium battery love the soft mirror flap
Mounted Tokina 28-70 2.6 atx, evergreen set.

F801s 4 sets, still going on strong. Various AIS to play.
Mount 85mm 1.8 or 90mm 2.8 Macro.

F90x always reliable. Mounted 180mm f2.8 with grip.

The ultimate street would be the F501 35mm F2AFD and F90X 180mm AFD.

Nikon F801 Nikkor 80-200 F4. This is a very nice lens.

zguy, you should have the same one right :)

yes but mine is just F601..no date. my tamron 90mm also in heavy used condition.
What i like abt F601 is that it has spot metering which the similar models in Canon do not have.

I thought u would have the MF version of the tamron 90 hha.

May I know what's good for SP?

The price is damn expansive :(

I actually sold my Mamiya C33 with 65mm lens to the old DSO in Peninsular, in exchange of the Tamron 90mm.
The Tamron 90mm was heavily used, and the AF was not very good. For macro shot, it was very good.

The AF version and MF not much price diff, and can switch to MF to focus. It comes with a big hood.
I used to have the Nikon F601M, with the Sigma 90mm F2.8 macro. The set was stolen in UK (police recovered it 1 year later...:( )

SP means Singapore or Tamron SP series?

My Tamron 90mm SP is the older version (more than 10 years). The latest is the one with AF Di.
The price for the old one should be around $350 for a fairly new used version.
The new one should be around S$500?

Should get the new one. Old lens may have fungus or dust.
I sent mine for maintenance. No fungus, but dust and condensation.

maybe he means the nikon SP which is a rangefinder not a SLR

@rain5533 Lovely condition on your Nikon FE.

I love Nikon film SLRs, both inside and out. Haha, just wondering why no one mentioned anything about Nikon FA? I think it's such an awesome camera!

Nikon FA was advanced amateur. It resembles a FE2, right side has a holder. Both FE2 and FA has titanium bee hive shuttle, but the vibration was much less. I remember the FE2 was more metallic and more popular than the FA.

FA also born in a time when AF was soon taking over the market. Very soon F401, F501 and F601 then F801 came.
It slowly faded into the back ground.

Ah... Okay but it seems to have a lot of the "technologically advanced" stuff which weren't in the FE/FE2 models, more similar to the digital SLR? (correct me if I am wrong)

:D

What I knew is the FE2 is improved some feature and removed for non-Ai lens.
FE2 can used TTL flash light.

But yesterday I have saw one F100 for sell.
That body and function all like DSLR :)

Cause I just got my FE an no more interested to spend money and getting again.

Old timers started from F or Nikkormat.

Nikkormat then to FM FM2.

FM then to FE FE2 FA

From FA then the AF started.

After F90X, the F5 was a monster battery eater.
