Nikon SLR

agreed! except the stock body does not allow u to mount on a normal hotshoe flash!

I categorically reject the statement that the F3 is a toy! :-) That's my favourite Nikon film camera of all times! Ha! It also proved itself by out-selling and out-lasting the F4. What do I like about it:

1. it's shaped and sized like a traditional camera, not the gorilla-sized bodies that all the AF cameras took on after it.
2. it has a great 100% viewfinder
3. High Eye Point is fantastic for someone wearing glasses to see the full frame
4. it uses dials, no confusing multi-level LCD menus
5. Great H screens for low-light focusing
6. makes me look like a better photographer than I really am
7. 80-20% metering provides a good balance between spot and center-weighted

I like the FM2 for the mechanical puristic appeal. But I like the F3 even more!

Gotta use the ugly thing u attach onto the film rewind area. The camera is a real beauty, but I'm glad I didn't buy it(I almost did)

Agree 100%, using a flash on the F3 is really a pain in the A**
For situation that requires flash, I use the Oly Om2n+flash instead. The automatic flash function from Oly is a wonderful feature!:)

Otherwise the F3 is a great camera, tough as a brick too.

Swee!!!! Where did u get ur F3 from?

Don't carry a F3 anymore compared to last time.

I am using the F501 with 35mm F2 AFD again.
The F601 QD with the 85mm F1.8 AF.

Age is catching up, AF and AE helps too much. :)

Ya getting old, Hyperopia kicks in earlier than expected ... eye sight getting poorer.
thinking of getting a -2 for F3 , so far no luck.

I may have a -2 diopter at home in Spore, let me check when I return for vacation.

Yeah.................Nikon SLR's kick ass!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still have a few. I sold my one and only AF-F70, as I did not see any point in keeping the cam, after switching to digital. I still have (i think):

- FM2
- EL
- EM...............that i remember that I have............

Non Nikon

Pentax SPF
Canon AE1

and a few others that I can't even remember...........

and a whole slue of prime lenses...........

wow long time never use film SLR. These 2 were taken like 9 yrs ago. Just scan it. Both on FM3A, Tamron 90mm Macro and Velvia 50. Sold the FM3A away last yr.

I just buy back a Nikon F501 for old time's sake.

I find the F501 a more usable camera than the FM series (built in motor, AF).

I still have the Tamron 90mm macro. Shoot macro sometime??

You can get spectacle shop to make for you. Bring the original eye piece and ask them to modify.
