price is $780 ready stock. Well, the price is creeping down slowly... any other shops with better price?
 

wait for price to drop if you really wan to save $.

even at 780....believe me...it's still HIGHER than what i pay for mine..
but sorry, i cant disclose how much i got it for.

Haha i cant help but agree, but if can get at much cheaper price, then can have a big laugh at those who paid much much higher ma... Haha you know the thing called bragging factor? :)
 

u guys have seriously misunderstood me.

i quoted i got it cheaper so that hopefully when you tell your usual shop you purchase your equipment from, you could possibly get it at a discount, even if it means they might just lower it $10 less for you.

ok ok...from now on, i wont give any hints.

well..what we meant is since you can get it at even lower prices than our discount, assuming you don't have very special connections with the boss, can you help us buy the lens then? most of us can only get regular discounts, but some of us here maybe can get boss's discount.
 

There has been confirmed rumor of Nikon price increase by 20% in Canada & Australia.
Let's hope it's doesn't affect us.

why not? shouldn't it be due to the exchange rate? The Australian dollar dropped a lot recently and it is only reasonable that nikon will adjust the price in australia.

I went to take a look at the new AF-S version. Slower but prefer the more spot-on focus. Everytime hit. But I think it is not justifiable to purchase one unless you shoot with it everyday.

I'm going to put it on hold till the price drop.. if it does (I have my doubts). Meanwhile I will just shoot at high ISO and f/2.8 all the time. The only problem is for my wideangle, I am stuck at f/4 and not in the mood to buy a Tokina 11-16 f/2.8.

Damn. damn. damn. damn.
