i quoted i got it cheaper so that hopefully when you tell your usual shop you purchase your equipment from, you could possibly get it at a discount, even if it means they might just lower it $10 less for you.

well..what we meant is since you can get it at even lower prices than our discount, assuming you don't have very special connections with the boss, can you help us buy the lens then? most of us can only get regular discounts, but some of us here maybe can get boss's discount.

Yes it does I think. I heard this from CP too. I highly doubt it is a regional thingie.
why not? shouldn't it be due to the exchange rate? The Australian dollar dropped a lot recently and it is only reasonable that nikon will adjust the price in australia.

I went to take a look at the new AF-S version. Slower but prefer the more spot-on focus. Everytime hit. But I think it is not justifiable to purchase one unless you shoot with it everyday.
I'm going to put it on hold till the price drop.. if it does (I have my doubts). Meanwhile I will just shoot at high ISO and f/2.8 all the time. The only problem is for my wideangle, I am stuck at f/4 and not in the mood to buy a Tokina 11-16 f/2.8.
