The rotating screen looks cheap. =(

Watered down version of the D90. Sounds promising for new buyers.

lol.. when sony/olympus come out with flip screen, nikon users ask/have wish list for nikon to come out similiar product.
Now is true, ganna suan saying looks cheap.
:bsmilie:

can do cam whoring and see yourself in the LCD

I expected better video function. :(

i think the screen would be expected to be smaller as there needs to be space for the hinge and stuff.

but then, from the pic, the whole body looks plasticky, dunno if it feels the same. if the build is good, i hope to see it at higher end models with no compromise in LCD screen quality, though it is expected slightly smaller.

want a small cam with a big screen... hmm, got to wait while more. :)

high iso d5000 no horse run beats all the previous gen one hands down. i guess its the nearly same noise reduction/sensor tech used in the d300/d90.

Looks like the D40 has grown up with more curves! The video function of a D90, and command dial slightly angled like the D300. But it leaves its roots behind - still as screw-less as ever!

1) There's no way for eyes in the sky.

Unable to rotate the viewer as it will hit the tripod.

2) Input cover is one piece compared to the D90.

If you're going to put a GPS, the other connection are exposed to the elements.

hmm...looking at the size and weight of the new d5000 it seems pretty large and close to d90's size already..anyone thinks there is a chance Nikon could launch a smaller lighter mirror less camera? just to cater to the ones who are still captivated by the portability of the d40/d60.
