By the way, I am happy to report that the Sigma 35mm F1.4 Art DG works well on my DF!

Good to know but I don't think the 35mm f/1.4 is one of the affected lenses in the Sigma advisory list.
I bought the soft release by Gariz.

Oh is it? Haha.. Sorry for the wrong info! I must have mis-read somewhere and made the mistake. Anyway I am just glad that the lens can work and is damn sharp on my DF wide open.

Cool! I got a teak soft release button from Artisan Obscura. I simply loves the wood grain.

I think I like the Gariz one more. It is metallic and has an additional rubber O-ring underneath to dampen any vibration caused by the pressing of the release button.

I think he kind of liked the Df...:think:

Because of the size and weight of the Df, the camera would definitely feel front-heavy and awkward to hold with those big zoom lenses. But when mounted with smaller and lighter prime lenses, it feels just right. The Df looks like it was primarily designed for primes, for hand-held street and travel photography and for users for whom weight is an issue and for those who want to be discreet and travel light. Can't wait to see what it would look like with a pancake lens.

Will try to post a photo of it with a pancake lens when I got it this weekend(just in time for Xmas... Hehe).

No problem so far with the AF even under low lighting despite dpreview's comment that it's AF under low lighting is poor. I shoot both centre and off-centre depending on the position of the subject.
