Time trigger fault?zguy said:my d70 died last night with the continous blinking nite. so i took out the CF card, leave the battery in and placed it inside the dry box.
this morning, the -E- symbol appeared. I was happy (for a while), i put i na CF Card , reset teh camera (press the little reset button at the bottom), and everything seems to work. 5 mins later it went dead again, with no display on the LCD near the ON/OFF button.
the last i used the camera was on last sunday after that i put it into my dry box. I didnt drop it or what. ;( so it is really SUDDEN DEATH! i dun think it is a conicidence that quite of few of us have the camera died on us these 2 days. Time Trigger fault?
now i only hope Nikon will repair it FOC !
It's on a per case basis.Beachboy said:Got back my unit today.....   for Nikon

This is untrue and a statement that has no backing, unless you CAN verify ALL of Nikon's D70 having the same problem across ALL batches, else this claim is unsupported and unjustified.Zenten said:Time trigger fault?
From your description, it seems that all D70 cameras are factory programmed to fail at some point in time.
