hi fellow d5000 users,

i need to get the dk-24 eyecup as i recently lost mine!
have been searching high and low but cant find a place that sells it.
anyone knows where i can get one or anyone with a spare?

thanks lots!

as for me i shoot straight in monochrome rather than convert later... think its a matter of preference... hope this helps, cant get into technical details, scared later too many BS... :bsmilie:

juz my 2 cents
I read somewhere some senior guys recommend to shoot in color & then convert it later.
I find the black/white photo straight out of the camera looks flat, not solid.
Anyway this is just my opinion.

actually the logi is simple lah...

in color..u can convert to ANYTHING...wanna B&W, wanna sepia, wanna tweak the color also can..

but if shoot in B&W...you cannot convert to color anymore....its B&W or Sepia the most.

welcome....still waiting for someone to start the ball rolling...:P

Just a quick check, for about how many shots are you able to take before needing a recharge? ;)

i think ill buy 3 at one go, just in case.

I'm totally amazed by how well the D5000 renders jpeg. At the moment, I can't even use RAW because I can't make the pictures any better than the jpeg rendered with Lightroom

I need to power up my LR-skills.

Hi guys, whats the brightness you set for your D5000 screen? Cause i set it as -2. What is the most accurate brightness setting for D5000 screen?

So far I find -2 for D40, D40X, D60, D80, D90, D200, D300, D2X and D3 looks right, so I guess -2 on D5000 sounds right as well. Just look at the grey bars and -2 seems to give the most uniform.

i set a -2 on screen, and a -0.7 ev on my cam sia. dono why that gives me a nice image exposure.
