PLease know that the Sigma 20 is a very different lens from the 24mm... There are some inherent weakness in the lens design, while it makes it up with very good IQ when used in the right way.

Thinking of buying one but if the performance is identical then I dont see the point.

My answer is prime lens always is the winner when stop down to smaller apeature

One is F3.5 and one is F1.8. Of course one gives you thinner DoF when shot wide open.

hmmm... I find my Sigma 24 extremely acceptable...

In my excitement, I shot too close too high... that plus the huge head-dress and ornaments didn't help...

Can't be helped, it's quite normal as moving too close to the subject tend to be a bit distorted.

He he that sigma too old already, even in the market is called Rare lens, can't even you can find a same piece.
