nice pano manjust wondering how come the left hand bottom corner seems blur or soft:think:
thanks.
i noticed it too. the only answer i can come up with, since the rest of it is alright (this was cropped from a single frame), used f/16.. mid section of picture is actually sharp. right side also sharp. so has to be flare? that section has brighter lights. :dunno:
i wish i knew though. it sure ruins the picture, doesn't it?
first look.. it doesnt (becos viewers focus in the centre)... but a 2nd look... it does. :bsmilie:
the colors are nice... very wide picture too.
is it becos of the lens? any reason for shooting at F16? is that the sharpest F-stop of the lens?
which lens is it ar?
yes, it's really bad. have replaced it to a tighter version (less sky though.. i like that sky
). as to why this is the case, it's still a mystery though. this is the first time this has happened.
it's a sigma 10-20.. can't be a lens problem, since right side is fine. the problem only surfaces with the +1 ev shot that i used in the hdr.. then it compounds itself since hdr softens.
f/16 is for more depth of field and to extend shutter speed - was thinking of leaving it as a reflection thing, but there's something that spoils the whole reflection so.. just did a pano crop. :bsmilie:
this evening's sunset was beautiful. more than a reward for the past few days' horrible weather. i actually went to shoot this a few days back.. got just one orange blob of floating light and grey skies..![]()

nope, not expressway.but i am amazed at how u went to that spot to capture the pic... it was from the expressway? the colors are really very nice... reliable Pentax. haha. pretty bad weather... but nevertheless... the grey clouds sure adds to some interesting composition too.
i guess might be because of hdr... auto exposure bracket or manual? there might have some little shakes there if it is manual bracketing... because of the cars that is causing the expressway to tremor. lol.
normally I shoot at 1 or 2 stop smaller than the widest possible aperture. they are the sharpest (according to scott kelby). at 10mm i guess it would be suffice too for the DoF.
Very nice pano shot.
