hahaha hey joeyjoey, thanks for your kind comments =)

as for pointers, i think the most important thing, as i always say is to:
a) shoot a lot
b) think before you shoot
c) think after you shoot and look at your photos
d) never be afraid to experiment

there is no substitute to trying all sorts of stuff and practising - as for filters, these days i only use 2 gnds - a full soft grad one (cokin) and split soft edge grad one (tianya), can't really use cpl on my sigma 10-20 so have given it up altogether. along with r72 ir filter for my ir shots. i also use the hdr technique for quite a number of my shots.
