I have already stated clearly upfront - do you expect someone to download and read manual of products that he doesn't own so as to find out some information?

Let's see, who has asked these questions here before ...

The larger the aperture the more light? Or smaller the aperture the more light?
Smaller aperture blur-er background, larger aperture clear-er background.
What is IF-ED ? How come some are just IF and some just ED and some both?
What is the diff between AF-S and AF?

Not siding anyone,

infusia did declare that he is a newbie. His question is not the lazy type, asking for spoon feeding. It was a discussion and he does know what he is asking. Let's be more gracious to newbie, since we were once newbie too. :)

Let's be nice to one another, afterall we are all nikonian.

Hi guys,

sorry to post another question.
I was reading threads on SB600 and SB800.
Both works for my D50 but there is one thing that says something like a commander mode
which i don't really understand. And it seems like the SB600 does not "suit" the D50. Any comments?

Regards
Infusia

my point is not directed at anyone, it is just a discussion.
above is from post #1

he has done his homework and have read up on the flashes
RTFM directs him to more information

i am sure that he does not expect others to RTFM for him.
if i was in need of some information
I would download and RTFM of the product that i am interested in,
i would not expect others to do it for me.

If i were looking to buy an item,
i would do my research and rtfm is part of that.
What better source of information than from the user manual?

If you do not agree, so be it,
i just hope that someone has gained some knowledge from this discussion

Cheers :)

It's like asking - If I want a TV, I can just go out and ask people instead of looking for the information online and reading the information available online.

If READING the manual of the product(s) you do or do not own can get you the information you wanted, what's WRONG with reading it?

So concludion... Sb600 can be use on D50 but D50 cannot wireless trigger Sb600.....
So if one need to wireless trigger SB600, she /he needs to use a sb800, rite?

So the next qns, is there other way to trigger an sb600 w/o a sb 800?
