Something Nikon and the Rest of the world should learn..
How about: We put hum jin peng in every Nikon. Sorry OT, I think we need to change the title of this thread. Still no 350D vs D70 in sight.

ai yoo, situation was the same when using film what. You're assuming everyone uses the 135 film format. But say if you're a Large Format whore but insist on Nikkor lenses? Then how :sweat:Smurfie said:In the past, when we had only film cameras, I would say, yes, it's about the system and the lenses we prefer. Previously, if I liked Kodak's Ektachrome and Olympus's system, I would go with it. If I decided that Nikon's system works better, I simply switched my system, but I still use my Ektachromes.
Today, the situation isn't quite the same. Say I like Olympus's systems and Zuiko lenses, so I should go with Olympus's systems, right? But is the Olympus sensor as good as Canon's? What if I prefer the sensor ISO performance and color output of the Canon's but still like the Zuiko lenses? What if I was the MP whore and needed the 16MP sensor but insist on Nikkor lenses?

Nikon seems to wait for Canon or whatever brand that comes out with something first. Then they wait and see how does the product perform in the market. When they are able to ascertain the numbers, they will then release a new model.
However, a different story came out when we are talking about pro level cameras. D2x vs 1Ds Mk II. Nikon will beat Canon as it has got more features and is able to save cost for professional photographers. But Canon will beat Nikon on the 1DII vs D2Hs. I don't see a reason why 50 frame buffer would make a difference with 40 frame buffer of the 1DII.

I agree, let's talk less and shoot moresnowspeeder said:There will be no end to comparisons. Every now and then, new bodies will emerge. It's only just a matter of when. What's important to note is that are we more concerned about the constantly changing technology and brand loyalty talk; or should we be more focused on how to improve our photography skills? Let's review our priorities again.
