PS: Folks, please don't PM me or ask me for the price and shop I got the lens from. First of all, I dunno you personally and I dunno if you are with a competitive shop, or otherwise.
I can basically say I went thru all the camera shops in Funan center (not really many in one shopping mall) and managed to get a last piece in a decent shop at a pretty competitive price.
Just spend a day, and shop the whole mall.

Well the lens was taken off the Sony SG website... and all the 5 shops I asked in Funan had no idea when new stock would arrive.

If everyone's so hesitant on giving such local info, why bother with local forums anyway? Might as well just go to an international forum like dpreview and ask general questions regarding equipment. No difference from calling, diy etc. I thought forums are meant to help each other out. Duh.....

I second this. The mods should be notified to update the price guide.

If you're willing to pay 100-150 more can get it from ebay. Of course whether u need to fork out for gst is like playing russian roulette.

What about posting some photos taken by this lens here to show us why you are so happy, so that we can share your joy and maybe learn a thing or two from you.

Ebay got the cheapest Zeiss Touit lens. I thought of getting but the review is not so good. It is not to
my expectation for its price.

exactly. there's nothing wrong with sharing all this info. all these only makes consumers more savvy and ensures shops remain competitive. i am so sick of chop shops trying to "kah" the unaware.

I expect that from all decent shops. What would be the point of testing it before handing over the money anyway?

Just gotten the lens yesterday. There was some issue that made me to attach and deattach the lens with my Nex 6. it showed "lens not attached properly". But so far there is no issue today. Does anybody experience this?

Think people have mentioned this on amazon and dpreview but seems ok after the initial error.
