• EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM: $1,569.00 (available early October)
• EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM: $1,369.00 (available early November)
• EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS: $829.00 (available early October)

The street price is anyone's guess. I guess it'll be available when the 7D goes on sale.

For reference, Nikon 105 f/2.8 Micro VR (which does not work at macro distances... deceptive marketing hype): RRP = S$1669, street price = S$1340.

I think the new 100L will be a good dual use lens for macro and portrait work, but don't just take my word for it, try it yourself when it's out or wait for the reviews.

Yes, I am waiting for reviews on 100L as a portrait lens. So far the focus has been on macro. I am thinking of getting this over the 85f1.8 + 135f2 combination. Too bad that this lens is not at least a f2.
