i nearly fainted when i saw all the colors!
i don't really mind the color, just that too attention grabbing, can work against you when travelling or when you wish to keep a low profile, i.e. for street photography.

I really think this one is going to be a BIG winner for Pentax (more than K7).
The features go toe to toe with the D5000 and 500D and its at the same price point. But the COLORS! Such a cheap shot way to leap frog over the competition! It just shouts louder with those colors and will capture the attention of ppl new to DSLR and younger folks. Think IPOD/IPHONE (ie. maybe not the best tech wise, but certainly arresting in attention).

sooner or later the next entry level camera will come with 16GB internal memory, mp3 player and digital TV and maybe even wifi internet connection. It will be called the K.Everything and yes....it can still take pictures! :bsmilie:

Where can you find a camera with full HD video capability (24 fps) for the price?
Putting aside the choice of colour issue, the specifications for this small camera is very good.

My Japanese client who is a long time Pentax user told me the K-x launch is making everybody sit up and take notice... while coloured bodies is nothing new, no camera company has offered anything at this scale, so the many colour options will be a milestone for Pentax.
