Same here. Thought I'd just get the red one, but now, I'm not sure anymore. Kinda like the white one, the orange one, the green one ...

I see a positive use for this camera - if I whip out a bright pink camera, people will think I'm just a tourist and not shy from having their pics taken! Currently, whenever I point my black K-7 with long lens at them, people either walk or look away...

Actually given that the coloured variations are custom ordered, I don't foresee Pentax having logistical and inventory issues keeping so many stock keeping units (SKUs) because most if not all the custom ones would likely require pre-orders. The camera shell is polycarbonate plastic and the grip is synthetic rubber so it is pretty easy to manufacture. Direct shipping from Japan is not gonna cost very much more. If eBay merchants can do online fulfillment, there is no reason why a large corporation can't do so.

hmmm, just when i think its time to get a K20D, this poisonous 'candy' comes along...

But it'll be great to see the reaction to the local market after its launched - imagine at the coming IT show in Nov 09 & emjay has a whole shelf of multi-coloured K-X's ;p

sure to entice many potential converts...

Unlikely to have more than one. It is not a collectible item.

But should pentax K-x casing is designed to be replaceable by user, then the casing can be collectible.

Ladies not that much a problem but for men, the wrong color or sticker combo may attract or send wrong interpretation. You may end up with strangers padding on your shoulder. :bsmilie:

uncle, why your white and red lens all so expensive.. other brand not so expensive..... like the one with the colorful camera.
