Tamron 28-75 f2.8 -> is it good for indoor use, as compared to 18-135 kit lens?
because, i am not impressed with the kit lens for indoor use.
i have 50mm f1.8 and i am very impressed. it is sufficient enough?

Well, personally I'd use this indoors with a flash. At f4, my fav for portraits this would be pretty good only at ISO 800 or so when used indoors. So I'd rather lower the ISO and use a fill flash to help bring up the light level.
Saw the price guide for 17-55mm f2.8 cost around SGD2170-2200. How much is the grey set? My friend in Hong Kong say SGD1.9k can get already. Izzit worth it?

Not sure about grey set cost in SG but it is cheaper getting from HK from what I have calculated before!
Do make sure you do not get the grey set in HK as you WANT the international warranty.
As a rule of thumb, I have found that the approximate cost of the Nikon lenses are SGD RRP minus 30%. To maximise savings, please pay cash so that you do not let the bank's unfavorable exchange rate erode your savings.
DUDE!! lol. Well i would recommend you the tamron 17-50 2.8 i got mine at like 500 plus. seriously good lense at a great price. Then with the 1.5k savings you can get a flash and the 50mm between the 1.8 and 1.4, either way i see it, i think a 1.8 is sufficient.

Thx. Already ask my friend to get me Nikon 17-55mm f2.8 . No offence but I prefer ori lense to match my Nikon. Will get flash and 50mm 1.4 in Feb since I'm using my friends SB600 now.
