Natalie (first studio shoot by RFSG)

Bad news...

All my precious ROLLEIFLEX shots all turn out BLANK....:flush:

I would like to share my lesson learned after the studio shoot, as most of us RF users don't like to shoot with flash. Especially when using old vintage camera, so that they do not repeat the same mistake:

Always know your camera flash synchronization speed when doing studio shoot, especially so when using focal plane shutter (Leica M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M6TTL & MP flash synchronization speed is 1/45 sec or lower whereas M7, M8 & M9 is 1/180 sec or lower)

For leaf shutter camera, you can use all available speed (most camera 1/500 sec max), however, for camera with M (bulb symbol, flash bulb) or X (lightning symbol, electronic flash) flash synchronization especially using old vintage camera...
Always switch to X (lighting symbol) when using electronic flash...if set to M (flash bulb), the shutter will delay open and the shutter will lag behind flash and you will not get any exposure...:mad2:

Cheers

This could be part of a good write up for Using RF with Studio photography

Always have it on X, its hard to get the flash bulb for M sync flashes nowadays anyway... Just had a studio session with Hassy yesterday and it sync alright using RF602 radio trigger. I love leaf shutter :)

You've made a great mistake taking photos of Thomas's gear... His gears are so infectious that once the poison hits you, there is no turning back.

People around him are good testimony...

Most of his classic gears are so mint that you would suspect that they were just rolled out from the factory yesterday...

If poison had sound, it was in stereo...
here's another beauty...Vincent's Rollei

Here's some "behind the scene" of the event last week. Sorry these are very candid and random shots.
