Lupin III also written as Lupin the Third is a Japanese manga series that follows the escapades of master thief Arsène Lupin III (this character shown here). In the story he is acknowledged by virtually every law agency on earth as the world's number one thief. Often in his adventures, he and his colleagues will take it upon themselves to foil other criminals engaged in more violent crimes.

His infatuation with women, and Fujiko Mine in particular, is perhaps his biggest weakness, as it often lands him in undesirable situations....

"The Marriage of Lupin III" is the first episode of the 2015 Blue Jacket series. The episode introduces the character of Rebecca Rossellini (this figure), a young heiress and businesswoman from the Republic of San Marino. She secretly leads a double life as a thief, committing daring heists for the sheer adrenaline rush.

The marriage was revealed to be a mere ruse, with Rebecca tricking Lupin III in order to use him as a distraction while she stole a valuable crown for her own thrill and entertainment. Despite this, she still legally has his last name, a fact that annoys Lupin greatly. Later in the series starts to fall in love with Lupin and ask to keep the Mrs. Lupin name as a secret code between them.

From 1793, the French Line Infantry wore the blue dress named the "National Uniform". This uniform was made of a blue coat, white piped red collar and cuffs and brass buttons.

The uniforms worn during Napoleonic Wars represent the most elaborate display of pomp in the whole history of military dress.

These uniforms (of every European army from the British to the Russians) can be considered as works of art on their own right. Huge sums of money were spent on trivia part of uniforms like pompons, plumes, etc. !

The word pioneer is originally from France - a soldier employed to perform engineering and construction tasks. The term is in principle similar to sapper. Every regiment in the French army had a squad of Sappers who were generally dressed as grenadiers with red epaulettes and a cross axes badge on the upper sleeves, a bearskin cap with red cords and feather but no plate.

French Pioneers of that era were equipped with a long leather apron, white gauntlet gloves, and an axe with a brass mounted handle. It was customary for them to grow beards.

In 1804, each French Line and Light infantry battalion was ordered to create one company of ninety of the best shots who would serve as elite Skirmishers or Voltigeur. Their uniform was made of a blue coat with yellow collar and cuffs piped red, green epaulettes with a yellow crescent, and yellow bugle horns on the turnbacks.

The company of Voltigeurs would frequently be detached from the battalion to perform specialised light infantry tasks - operating in loose formation, forming the skirmish line and screening the battalion from the enemy. The Voltigeurs were skilled at sharpshooting and received specific training in marksmanship, using cover and taking the initiative.

Dorsenne was a French military commander of the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. He eventually became one of the senior commanders in the Imperial Guard. Early career and involvement in the Revolutionary Wars, Dorsenne's military career began in 1791, when he joined the army as a volunteer. An abled soldier Dorsenne quickly rose through the ranks of captain.

With the Army of Italy at the crossing of the Tagliamento (16 March 1797), Dorsenne's heroic conduct was noticed by commander-in-chief, general Napoleon Bonaparte, who promoted him to the rank of battalion commander. Napoleon Bonaparte then enlisted Dorsenne's services for the Egyptian campaign, where the latter would display his usual bravery and would receive several battle wounds.

Disciplined, well-trained and respected, these elite foot guards inspire nearby troops in battle. The Coldstream Guards are expensive to maintain, but for good reason: they are superb troops who can reload quickly, charge home with the bayonet and then give a good account of themselves in melee.

At the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, the Coldstream Guards defended Hougoumont farmhouse. This large farm was important for the Anglo-Dutch army as it protected their right flank. Despite assault after assault, the Guards and their comrades managed to hold the place against the French.

The Coldstream Guards are still in service today.
