thanks frozen flame for your kind reply.

How long to charge the AA rechargeable batteries ? Eg in this thread Sanyo envelope batteries are mentioned to be able to last whole day . But how abt the charging process- one whole day ?
You have a lot of choices. There are chargers that can charge a set of 4 AA/AAA in 15-30 minutes. There are also chargers that do it in 6-8 hours. The one that charges batteries faster use more current and will cause the batteries to heat up and thus reduce the useful life of the battery. If you want a better charger, look for Maha (PowerEx) or LaCrossee brands. You should be able to find them in the IT show this week (Eastgear?)

S5 's movie mode can zoom while recording, correct ?
You are correct.

Thanks CS Tan for your quick reply. May I know Maha (PowerEx) can charge how fast ? thanks again :)

Thanks CS Tan. Me actually went to google before asking this question coz on the website , they did not state how many they fully charged the batteries. Really appreciate. Then 2 hrs is fast liao !

I tried to search this forum for explanation of various filters used in newbie section and others dun seem to find . Any link u can provide ? COz intend to buy S5 together with the filters. Thank u so much !;)

Talking about filter, these are two of of site that I have been to find out more about close-up filter.
http://www.waynesthisandthat.com/closeuplenses.html
and http://www.imaginatorium.org/stuff/cufilter.htm.

You could also go to the B&H site, where they have all range of filter together with the general info of most of them.

For a quick and less hassle, I'd use the "indoor" mode with external flash. It has face detection so the AF is quite good. Wide angle Lens is useful if u have it.

Thanks droozy.

I do not have any add-on lens for my S5, except for a set of 3 pieces of Hoya close-up filter (+1,+2 and +4 diopter), a very old polarizer filter. Most close-up shots are taken with the close-up filter attached.

For the night shots, they are taken with the S5 alone, no add-on was used.

Yup, that's right. BTW, for the 20 people shot, I usually use manual too, either that or Aperture priority. :)
