U haf to know d focal length u r comfy wif. 30mm is effectively 45mm on NEX system. 50mm is effectively 75mm. So if 70% is general shooting like street photography. Sigma 30mm serves u better. Plus it's a very much value for money E Mount lens tat gives highly resolved details n sharpness. Cheers.

This is a FSU 50f1.8 copy of the Biotar design so I'm not sure if it would be as good as your Zeiss planar 50f1.7
Here's a review of them: Helios-77 (50/1.8) - super Russian 50mm lens, review + IMG
have a look at some of the sample photos to see their capabilities.

Use to cost US$20 to $30 a pop 4-5 years back, but prices have creeped up to the US$100 mark today.
In terms of bang for the buck, they it ! ....however if you're expecting Japanese CNC precision machining, silky smoothness, keep away !
These are russian lense, made by the russian like they make their famous WW2 russian T34 tanks, drop one and chances are you'll crack your floor tiles with hardly a scratch or ding on the lens.

Althought they belong to the same family do not confuse them with the older Helios 44m# (58mm f2) which are much more common.

look sharp have you tried bro the ugly duckling Zenitar M2S 50/2? this lens is sharp it almost rival my cron 50/2
