Most current NEX lenses are not good enough for the NEX-7! SEASON 2!

if you check it out, most A-Mount lenses can't resolve the A77 or NEX-7 sensor. not even the Gs or CZs.

:bsmilie:

I use the a77 and my experience is that there are no issues with lens resolution in the central regions. I crop almost 80% of my pics anyway, so the edges dun matter much to me.

OT abit i dont have a Nex7.

But as much as many of you guys say cant resolve etc. eg even the E mount 24F1.8 cant or not as good etc etc.
From what i see and to me. I dont feel any much different or see better result from those lenses that u guys claim to be able to or better at resolving the Nex7 sensor. But that just me. Maybe I'm not observance enough or not so concern with it.

Different people have different expectation. Just be happy will do.

The 24 F1.8 is the best E-mount lens currently in the market but pricy.

Hoping next year, CZ will come out with the 12 F2.8 E mount UWA lens........................:)

i hope it'll be able to resolve the NEX-7 Sensor... i'll just get a set of Voigtlander WA primes if the resolving power still sucks :bsmilie:

Should b able to. I've tried d cv 15. Serious purple fringe problem.

where's ur cron pic~ no poison for us? :bsmilie:

Stucked in customs... I just did a track on the delivery... Think can only get it by weekends... Still gotta pay GST!!! 200 bucks burnt...

I would think summicrons are quite easily available locally and at reasonable prices too, no?

Good copies normally command 3.3k and above... done some checks at peninsula... i got mine below 3k... inclusive of gst..

Good stuff... chrome copies tend to go for higher than the black ones... 6 bit coding will also have an impact on the price upwards... full set with caps, hood etc also too!

I was outbidded on the chrome copy, got d black instead. anyway, i m a user not a collector, m gonna keep this lens for quite awhile but open to trade with top up if a good chrome copy comes along. Haha..

The CV 15mm, 28/2 and 40/1.4 are all capable of resolving the NEX-7's sensor. But I got tired of shooting RAW and using Cornerfix to get rid of the magenta casting I get from the 15 & 28, so I got a 5n+EVF for my CV wides. No color casting, fewer lens changes...

So u use d 5n specifically for wide angle shots? Just wondering if d new 10-18 E Mount will persuade u otherwise when it's released. Just find it a hassle to bring multiple bodies at times.

Yup, wide to normal.

I'm curious to see how the NEX-7 will handle the 10-18mm with regard to both color casting and corner sharpness. I don't see how an ultrawide zoom can compete with primes, but I'll be real happy if Sony shows that it can.

Yeah... zoom were alwayz tot to be not as sharp as prime... but seems 10-18mm using 3 aspherical elements is supposed to be very sharp... we shall c... Sony has alot of expectations to fulfill...

Actually you can find mint set at around $2,800-$3,000 in Singapore for a 35cron Asph, as there are abundance of supply and users, some with warranty too. Just need to be patient.

I had both Summicron 35mm ASPH and Voigtlander 35mm f1.2II, and the 35cron is just for a smaller size, but Voigtlander 35mm f1.2II is sharper and nicer in bokeh, just that it is bigger than 35cron due to the quality glasses to make it a F1.2 fastest speed. In fact, Voigtlander 35mm F1.2II is very close to quality of a 35lux FLE, at a fraction of 35lux price.

For the price you paid for a used 35cron, you can get 2 Brand New CV35F1.2II!

Weight or IQ or Price. Decision... Decision... Decision!

Patience is a virtue and since I had given my wife the CV 35-1.7 ASPH to use on her NEX F3, I had to quickly buy a cron 35 ASPH... Haha... I still prefer Cron's weight/IQ ratio so have to give in on the price. Stupid Speedpost din managed to deliver it yesterday evening and din deliver tonite too... Haf to wait for tomorrow morning liao. Stupid slow service... Lucky my Hawk's adapter is already here... keke
