Hoya R72. It's a little tough to get these days.

Oh, didn't realised you actually have to cut the Hoya R72 to make the IR filter!
Thanks deadpixel, :)
I'll prob get it from US instead then.

Does anyone know what dimensions you have the cut the IR filter to?
(So i know which R72 mm size to get!) Thanks!

Hey Pinkfuzzycat,
abit of googling and found this http://photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00HvN7
300D hot mirror dimension: 27.1mm x 19.5mm x 2.7mm
Alternative to Hoya R72 would be Edmund Optics, Optical Cast IR Longpass Filters
It's made of plastic, easy to cut, but also easy to scratch....
Cheers :)

Thanks!

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I used the hoya R72 I had. 1 pcs of 52mm can cut 2 pcs for modding. but you have to be good at the cutting. Not easy.
