Sigh.................

MO ABORTED....... sigh...

I have friend in Australia studying, maybe I can ask him to find out if they have this over there and ask him to mail over?

I dunno, may have to wait as he seldom goes to the city.

No promise, but will try :) that is if my friend don;t find it a hassle :)

May take a few weeks, but hang on there and pray for good news

wat more can we ask for??

GO GO GO~~

Hackie: here is the guy who said he bought at CP mah. if they brought in once before, they would be able to bring in again, just like for my lumedyne cable.

I bought one of these in SINGAPORE many years ago. If I remember correctly, I bought it at Cathay Photo Peninsular Plaza. Costs around S$20 or so. That was before I bought a vertical grip + Canon handstrap for my EOS 5. After I got my Canon handstrap, I stopped using the Zing.

But later I found that for travelling, the vertical grip took up too much space and weight, and so I reverted to using this Zing when I'm travelling. Very handy. And for a short while, i actually used it with my G3 too. Works like a charm.

Are you sure CP no longer have it ?

dun think they will help to get filters for you...
cos they most prob will get direct from zing

I dropped by CP yesterday to check about the filter i was looking for and they are getting it for me. They already carry the brand (B+W) but hardly ever get stocks of the particular one that i'm looking for. Anyway no problem for them to get it. Turned out to be much cheaper.... saving about S$20 off the price of the filter itself. If i include shipping, gst, etc. costs for an online order will save even more $. ;p

did anyone check out with CP?

i cldn't make it yesterday..... :(

Checked at CP, they said they recieve a phone call about this MO and had already turn it down.

From what he said CP is more interested in sell the nikon strap.

I'll just wait for the Nikon ah-4.

Cheers,

btw does the site able to accept telegraphic transfer?
since if they can't trust credit cards den i guess cash in the bank they can trust right.

if able, we just transfer all the money to 1 person.den the person go pay by telegraphic transfer & split the cost.

Anyone interested in starting another MO of this? or they know where can I get this in the stores?

The Canon E-1 Strap doesn't do it for me, because it requires a battery pack's hook to be able to hook on. This Zing action strap, uses the tripod mount as the support and I think that's a pretty good idea.

It's also available at B&H and Adorama.

the hakuba look chio esp with my F828 & leather case.

who wanna exchange zing for tat?

i think you are trying to loop both the camera strap and hand strap together. You can loop it through the camera strap but it will not be so secure. Else get the zing strap and you can loop both through the eyelet (albeit with some difficult adjustments)

The Canon E-1 requires a battery pack in order to hook the other side.

this one no need. there is a base that is screwed to the tripod mount at the bottom of the camera, the other side is strapped to the eyelet. The base has a stopper to keep it in place.

btw, would anyone else be interested in the Hakuba's grip if I bring them in next month (will be back in Singapore after 10 Feb)? I'm not too sure about the price of the grip PH (probably $40 or $45) but I could get the LH for $30 each.

Would be interested in a PH. It seems to be quite similar to a Nikon AH4.
