Thinking of ordering the 2GB Sandisk Ultra II from Dell @ US$163.76.
Will ship via Vpost to keep shipping cost low.

Let me know if u're keen to join in.

i wait for them to have discount coupons first....

btw, ship together have to pay GST, which is higher than paying the postage individually

also, dell ship to vpost need to pay 8.25% of tax, now i try to get my friend who stays in other states to help...

on US dell page, why the ultra II is 163.76 (original price is 181.95) while the normal sandisk 2G is 230.36 (original price is 255.95)

There's no GST for a single piece as the value doesn't exceed $400.

if you want to order more than 1 piece, it will be more than $400 already

since this is a mass order, it is going to be more than $400 anyway

as i have mentioned in another thread, u saved on shipping but then you will have to paid GST, in the end still work out about the same. (BTW, dell giving free shipping within USA for this CF)

so this MO is only meaningful if someone got friends NOT staying in CA and he can help to send the card back to Singapore, then we can save the 8.25% tax, too bad vpostusa is in CA, else i will order it long ago already....

A bit OT here, but is the same card available here in SG?
Where & for how much?
Just took a look at the Eastgear website, unable to find it. :(

Even if u can find it, it will be way way too expensive compare to US. Just take a look at the the price of 1GB and 512MB alone. :)

I don't think Singapore market price is particularly high, just US price is dirt cheap. ;p

I've some friends in US and can consider getting them to help.. Ship the cf cards to them first before they ship them back to Singapore. To reduce the bulk and cost of shipping, how about discarding away the box and papers? Only send the card and plastic holder back.
