Sometimes a hunch can turn up fine surprises. On this day by my favourite hunting ground, Miss Yellow-Rumped Flycatcher decided to pose for the camera. My only complaint was it tends to pose very very near such that focusing has become a problem.
Except for #1, all taken under available light since this poor feather jumps when flashed.
D300+500+1.4x wide @F5.6, ISO 800-1250, shutter 1/50 to 1/125s. Fired on tripod foot above ground.
