IMO, If there was a rule was broken by LTA Li, I believe that Mindef will have to charge him if its this big already. They will charge the AWOL guy to the max now if they haven't done so already and LTA Li will also get something if he also contravened any rules with this mass email because Mindef cannot be seen to play favourites.

But in all likelihood, it will have very little effect on LTA Li's future.

i believe the big thing about this issue that he's the PM's son? i've met him personally in a signal camp before he was commissioned and he was a pretty down to earth guy i believe. it might be that he has something against that officer or that guy really didn't take responsibility at all.

there's always such issues but the matter wasn't solved and he decided to take a step further that's all. nothing wrong with that.

lol, i think it's perfectly fine for the media to report it. he is after all 'royalty's son'. it could be a wayang, but perhaps it wants to be shown to us that even the upper ups do not get special treatment. ie, they must still go through the proper channels.

i do not think his background has anything to do with the outcome, it could have altered slightly, but as said earlier and can be seen from the letter, he has proven his accusations with proper examples and correct use of precedents.
