i think PES E NSmen are usually recalled to be clerks for their ICT..

i know my pes E friends in navy are not posted to any NS unit or are they called back for any ict.

My E9L9 Security Trooper is gonna ROD after his 2 yrs.

Will this come to an end already? hahahaha. 7 pages long! Anyway I think we all have our own opinions about the armed forces.

Whether we like it or not, it is here to stay.

of course it's here to stay, but we can chose not to ;)

thankfully navy units don't do that...the L9 ppl i know from navy either has no NS posting letter or are posted to changi as clerks.

i also downgrade but there are also ppl who say i keng, most importantly is i still got my MRI report from AH.
once i had enough of ict, then is time to make a trip down to glenn eagles with my MRI report from AH.

i don't have to take ippt but i still got to attend ict while my C1 friends have to take ippt but no NS posting...that's really something i don't understand :dunno:

who bloody cares about what others say, they are probably just jealous of you ;) I hardly know of anyone who has not had enough of ICT. Usually, it's because their units closed down or merge with another and the army does not know or have not decide what to do with them that they are stuck in limbo. Well the reality of suddenly going back after 10yrs of inactive is very real, I had seen a few of those.

wah lau Pes E kanna call back to be clerk is damn bloody sway loh ....somebody must really not like them. My pes E don't even need to inform mindef about my overseas trips at all. BOOMZ!

I thought no reservist liao is called MR?

"MINDEF Reserve consists of NSmen who have completed their NS training cycle but have yet to reach the statutory age. They are no longer called back for In-Camp Training (ICT) but are still liable for NS." :D

i thought after a certain batch, they will no longer be put on holding list? :)

wad do you mean?

wad do you mean?

oh, i heard from a friend that the recent batches are no longer on holding/reserve list, that they are given units. no idea why, or whether it is true. might just be rumour :)

You do have a choice.

And I believe you have already exercised your right to choose.

unfortunately, i dun have a choice. My dad was neither rich nor intellectually savvy to

1. Recognize the discrepancy between a son of the soil and a son from the soil next door and make sure i

a. migrate before i meet the age to do NS

2. get me or having the $$ to ensure i enter an overseas university before 16 years of age

but oh well, i'm giving my son this choice if i can.
