Assuming images straight from camera->scanner->monitor without photoshop post processing: did the filter make a big difference? Because Nikkornos's shots look more contrasty or was it because when he shot there was sun?

the conditions did play a big role - when ah hong shot it was a big grey cloud - this had cleared up when nikkornos shot - i am quite certian the filter played a role too

Absolutely. The sky is the proof. The image came from shooting from DSLR. No processing apart from some rotation and balancing.

I just came back from Guang Ming Shan this morning....

Absolutely. The sky is the proof. The image came from shooting from DSLR. No processing apart from some rotation and balancing.

So in the other outings the timing also no good. This is close to the first time I seen the photos sharp and clear.
