Nice B/W series. Which cam did u pair the Ilford with? Btw the Ilford looks pretty contrasty .

Here's one for you : Spy vs Spy

Strangely the bokeh became fish-eye

Haha.

I used film on MZ-5N, self-scanned and adjusted curve only

I shot the same thing also with film and found the bokeh very harsh that i decided not to post it.:(

Thanks Desmond, FA43 bokeh is a bit harsh in certain cases..

Good work Joseph. I like these...
Just wondering if you develop the roll yourself or send it out to a lab.
Personally I like to develop with a high dilution ratio to extend the tonal range.

Yep. Film has its own charm. Wanna get back into film, but too lazy to send processing and scanning.

Couldn't resist PP-ing the salvageable remainder of my pics.

The Butterfly Effect[/CENTER]

That's an excellent capture! Seldom see a butterfly w/ a broken wing like this one.

The whole b&w series look pretty nice actually, I can feel the difference from the digital (PPed) ones.

I guess we can't argue w/ that, can we ;)

FW, hope your son recovers soon!

And I agree about the quality of the shots.. many are publication-worthy! Not only on this thread, but on the main photo threads too.

And hey, why not a local Pentax best of annual photography book? Lots of great photos by you all out there; I'm sure it can sell.. among ourselves at least :P Can also use the online photo book service to do this up!

If not hardcopy, can at least do a PDF version.

Will make a good showcase for Pentax, ourselves and as a keepsake!

Thanks Alvan :) Both kids are better now. Had a really busy week, mostly because of them. I still haven't looked through my photos from the outing yet :(

As to the photography book, I don't know who's gonna provide the fund and support for us. Pentax users are still a very small group comparing w/ other brands, we probably can't get much help from any company. Maybe we should make another sticky thread where we can put some good photos there ...

possibly some sort of pentax photo gallery (sg version).. or monthly challenge where each user can submit 1 photo for tt month n we vote.. could have different themes for each month.

Thanks Denis!

I'm not that pro yet, sent to Ruby to develop and I only scanned them myself.
Maybe try out developing during holidays.

Despite what I had heard about the harse Bokeh .. form here and there, on the 43mm but I still find the bokeh excellent ....at f1.9 it is infact has round highlights of shining object behind ... it damn sharp.....

cool darrrrrr, i like this idea ... our "lao da" (seniors) can be the judges and who knows we can have our own Pentax magazine!! :bsmilie:
