I wonder if Rooney will threaten to quit again? Hopefully he will use this opportunity to prove to others on how versatile he can be, not only just as a striker.

He has already stated that he doesn't know what his role in the club will be during an interview while on England duty..

As a captain I hope he doesn't threaten the club again.. If he does then can let him rot in reserves or sell him away..

Think he better prove his worth and not threaten to quit cos i dun think it will work for LVG ... and youngster James Wilson will always be available ...

Man U's front line looks super deadly now :)

Play wilson already. Drop rooney to midfield. And play 4 defenders. Wake up lvg. Please

think with the players available and he belongs to the aggressor type and the players he buy, high chances he will still stick to 3-4-1-2 ... and play offensive...

lol... can't wait for the match but think it will be in late october where we will meet at OT...

Di Maria shines for Argentina

Four Reds were on international friendly duty on Wednesday and none shone brighter than Manchester United's record new signing Angel Di Maria, whose masterclass included a goal and three assists to help Argentina beat Germany 4-2.
The £59.7million capture, who completed 85 impressive minutes in Düsseldorf, started alongside Reds team-mate Marcos Rojo as Argentina faced Germany in a repeat of this summer's World Cup final, which Joachim Löw's side won in Brazil, of course.

Operating wide on the right for Gerardo Martino's men, Di Maria's energy, creativity and wand of a left foot were put to devastating use. In the 20th minute his stunning outside-of-the-boot pass enabled Sergio Aguero to make it 1-0. Then on 39 minutes he was at it again, racing onto a pass down the right and floating an inviting cross to Erik Lamela, who volleyed into the roof of the net to make it 2-0.

Immediately after the second half restart, Di Maria's deep free-kick from the left was headed home by Federico Fernandez, then two minutes later he got on the scoresheet himself, coolly dinking the ball over the onrushing Manuel Neuer in a one-on-one.

Rojo couldn't help Argentina to a clean sheet as Andre Schürrle pulled a goal back for Germany on 52 minutes, while the world champions scored again through Mario Götze's deflected effort on 78 minutes. However, Di Maria's damage had already been done.

Closer to home, Wayne Rooney led England out at Wembley for the first time as the new national skipper as they took on Norway, while Phil Jones completed the full 90 minutes at centre-back. Despite a lowly 40,181 crowd, Rooney inspired the team to a 1-0 win by lashing home a 68th-minute penalty before being replaced by former club-mate Danny Welbeck a minute later.

3 assits and 1 goal

Cristiano Ronaldo interview: I want to come back to Manchester United

Real Madrid superstar talks of his love for the city of Manchester and his former club and also says they have bought well in the summer transfer window Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he would like to return to Manchester United.
The Real Madrid superstar, in an interview with Telegraph Sport, spoke of his love for the city in which he developed into one of the world's best players and, despite the club's current problems, said it is his wish to go back.
"I love Manchester," he said. "Everyone knows that. Manchester is in my heart.
"I left many good friends there. The supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day."
Ronaldo has spoken previously of his dismay at the sale of his former Real team-mate Angel di Maria to United, and says the Premier League club have also done well to sign striker Radamel Falcao, an old foe in Madrid derbies against Atletico.
"He is a very good player - I think United did very well," said Ronaldo.
"He will be a fantastic buy. United have not started well, so they need quality players. And Falcao is a quality player."

Ronaldo coming back Di Maria is the push factor?

never really like CR. Showoffish and arrogant, despite his talent. Best business SAF has done selling him off.

It's fine to be arrogant if one has the skill to show for it. It's not fine if one doesn't have the skill to show for it.

Actually quite agree just look at the no of "problem kid" top players like Romario, Maradona etc... but of cos there are some no problem like Baggio, Linekar etc ...

Arrogance is not exactly a bad thing in sports.. Especially when he has the skills to back it up..
Cantona was also damn arrogant..

Like what the other bros said.. Maradona, Romario, Zlatan were also very arrogant on the pitch..

CR7 is a really good player.. He can score in both La Liga and BPL.. Bale is surprisingly very good too.. But of course Bale is not that arrogant at the moment..

Arrogan is what u need to be the best, even Alex ferguson, Mourinho has it.....with that ur opponent afraid of u....u torment them....terrorist them....they foul on u....you create more space for your team mate....and goal came from everywhere.....all these is what MU needed right now.....Looney earn 300k/wk but has none of the above....nobody including Swansea and Burnley are afraid of them....that's why no euro game this year...

Sad to say this team still has no heart yet.
