Sir Alex Ferguson says his United side are revelling in the twists and turns of this season's Premiership title race.
With Chelsea trailing the Reds by three points and just five games remaining, the season is well and truly down to its make-or-break stage.
While the Gaffer has been through such nervy periods before during his time at Old Trafford, he is delighted that his players are also thriving on having little margin for error.
"You've always got to enjoy this part of the game," he told his weekly press conference. "We're involved in everything, which is terrific.
"More importantly I think the players are enjoying it, that's the best thing for me and I'm enjoying watching them. I'm happy with their form. I think they're continuing to show great confidence and expression in their play.
"Over the years, it doesn't matter which team has won the league, there have always been moments of nervousness, but they seem to be enjoying it."
Although United are still fighting on three major fronts, Sir Alex admits he would be content just to regain the Premiership title.
You start the season hoping to win a major trophy," he said. "We could win one of them, with an immense amount of luck we could win three. But if we win the league I'd be quite happy with that.
"Any time I've done well, we've always had a bit of luck. The luck we need now is to keep this group fit for the rest of the season, if we do that we have a real big chance.
"I know Jose was praying we get injuries and we got them, so we've done him a real favour that way. Hopefully there's no more."
The Gaffer feels Chelsea have been taken aback by having to chase United all season, rather than lead from the front as in the last two seasons.
"I couldn't ask for a better position, to be honest," he said. "I think Chelsea maybe expected us to be on their tails this season.
"Maybe they expected us to be their main challengers, Jose Mourinho said that early on, so we've turned that round and have them chasing us.
"They have to win their games and we're exactly the same. The table shows that the consistency of us has been terrific, we're three points clear with a massive goal difference.
"The simple fact is that Chelsea had set the benchmark quite high for us, and we've had to match that or beat it to make sure we win the league."
