Although taxi drivers can co-operate to assist the police, taxi drivers should not take on the burden of police duties that the police themselves should be doing.

An alert was sent out to taxi companies 35 minutes after the driver entered Singapore, asking for help to look out for the vehicle.
The director of operations at the Singapore Police Force, Senior Assistant Commissioner Lau Peet Meng, explained in the briefing that they sought help through the cab drivers, so as not to alarm the public. He said by then, the police already knew who the driver was and the aim of the search was to locate him. At about 8.30pm on Saturday, the authorities recovered the abandoned vehicle in an unknown location.
The driver was arrested at another location later at 9.15pm.

The police’s Special Operations Command (SOC) arrived half an hour after they had been activated. The police said the delay was because Hampshire Road was congested with buses picking up foreign workers. SOC officers had to alight and proceed on foot.

A popular talkshow host in a China TV station said he went to Big Buddha in Hong Kong Lantau Island to light some incense and say a prayer for the victims.

Weeks ago, there were reports saying eye witnesses in Maldives saw a large plane flying low with similar markings as Malaysian Airline. Few days ago, locals in Maldives recovered a spherical object washed ashore in one of their beaches. It was likely a Halon fire suppression bottle used in airplanes.

Now (3 weeks after 8 March 2014) it is revealed that the pilot said something different.

But how can it be reported differently by MAS CEO and Director of MLY civil aviation in a press conference - when MLY authorities have the recording.

Really speechless to the handling of MH370 by the country's leaders... Nothing is true from their mouth since day one, so far every information they provided since day one is a lie !!! How to find the Aircraft in this manner ? Even if there is survivor they would had been dead by the time the authorities decided to speak the truth. Confirm they are hiding something from the world. The international community should stop wasting their resources and money helping those lier, let them be held responsible for their action !!

What if they are wrong? Satellite Company Inmarsat reversed position on where MH370 plane flight may be

Is it dawning upon the searchers that something is wrong when so many ships and planes cannot even find 1 piece of debris of the plane after so many days?

The calculated location may be accurate -- or it may be way off base & inaccurate.

Why prevent other experts from giving their views and inputs so that the plane can be found?

It may be a good idea for AAIB and Inmarsat to release the satellite "ping" data that they have; for other scientists to double check.
So far they have refused.

Swell of satellite experts question accuracy and reliability of data and methods for satellite ping “math” to locate a moving aircraft, while major news headlines praise the satellite company who claims to have located the final position of Flight MH370.

The math formula to project the last known location of the plane may be right but if one shred of input data is incorrect, the plane could be actually thousands of miles away.

The new calculations underwent a peer review process with space agency experts and contributions by Boeing, he said.

The problem with peer review is that you pick which peer/s to review. Very likely those whom you already know are in favour of your theory or point of view.

Well it is make or break for Inmarsat. If they are later found to be wrong, then big trouble. Get blamed for wasting time, effort & money. So many Orions, Poseidons, ships & planes. Get blamed for delaying rescue to MH370.

A lot of other scientists can say, if only Inmarsat released the data to them, they would have found the plane's location. 20/20 hindsight.
