Mac Vs Pc

So we can conclude that..... Mac beats PC flat there's no doubt about it. Their marketing just owns PC.:bsmilie:

It depends on what you are comparing. Market share and cost-wise Apple is epic fail. :bsmilie: Windows owns 95% of the global OS market and why don't you go and persuade your IT dept or big boss to convert all you office desktop to Mac and see what you get. :bsmilie::bsmilie:

IMO, it is not about Mac or PC. It is about which Mac and which PC?

Check out my photo review of a refurbished IBM T60p here

you seem to be arguing for the same of arguing. please grow up.

Hi Apple fan boy, you are the one who need to grow up. If you can convince and give me better arguments on why Mac is better. Indeed mac is not so capable in handling games given that the Mac GPU is half-measured as compare to PC with SLI/Crossfire GPU with similar price point. If you cannot take the truth and admit, please save your effort and refrain from replying. Thank you.

To be fair, there are games like WOW on mac, but these are not heavy gpu intensive.

Is this without purchasing an adapter? If my peripherals have USB connectors - no big deal. Thank goodness Apple did not decide to create their own USB connection!

However went to a client site with my MacBook and couldn't connect to their projector. I forgot that the "normal" male connectors do not connect to the mac &*^*&%$ At that moment Macs sucked!

Firewire is created by Apple and maybe next year you might get to see Lightpeak port on new macs.

Do you guys have any problems when using a mouse with your MacBook? The mouse is laggy. Not smooth especially when you move it slow.

I tried all the USB ports & all kind of mouse. Played with the mouse settings. I search thru the web and everyone says it's a common issue. :dunno:

Definitely nothing wrong with my mouse as it tested ok on a Windows Laptop.

If you reboot the machine, upon restart, is the mouse ok? Some people seem to have marginal success with disabling bluetooth... but I think that's more random than a cure.

what kind of mouse are you using? so far i have not encountered any problems with wired mice. wireless and bluetooth mice can behave erratically.

I have the exact same 'sentiments' as you. Kept changing so many mouse but it feels the same. Finally have e smooth mouse without the lag when I change to a logitech laser mouse (wired. You might want to try those. Do report back! :)

i wonder how some forumers managed to crash their mac or get virus on them. I've used both PC and MAC, both in school and at home. The jobs are not merely surfing web or text editing, i use them for major rendering of architectural models, 3D visualisations and modelling, CAD and also complete suite of Adobe CS3, with photoshop, illustrator, lightroom. All these on my imac, and nothing has crashed. I've used photoshop, Artlantis render and Lightroom all at the same time, and it has never slowed down my comp. I've used the same range of softwares on a Windows Desktop too..but somehow it just doens't match up to the mac. and it crashes when too many applications are running. the host of virus and anti-virus software used on the Windows PC slows down the comp too much. I'm much happier and more productive on my mac. Looks factor..its just a gimmick and plus point..the performance factor is what matters.

LOL - becos I am good at overloading ;)

Alright, thanks xhui. Will get a Logitech mouse over the wk end. I sure hope this works as the lag is driving me nuts..

Hi Madmacs, i've tried the Mighty Mouse (wired) & a wired HP laser mouse. I dun think there's anything wrong with these 2 mouse as they both work fine on my Windows laptop.

I hope it works for you! *cross fingers* remember it's the laser logitech mouse(wired). The other logitech mouse I've tried gave the same 'lag' as e rest!

No need laser mouse, as long as the mouse is wired, it'll run fine. Even no brand A4 Tech 2 button mouse ran w/o a glitch & i did a whole 26mins video job with it for 5 days.
