Take it slow and steady. Photography must be fun and interesting to begin your growth.

If you think you can't get a good shot of the mantis, then don't force it. Just go with the flow and enjoy playing with it. I found this one on a concrete ledge, have no idea where it came from. No macro lens or anything so I just took it to the nearby bush and let it go.

Cute picture!

I dare not touch the mantis.. wanna go closer also abit scared esp with its big round eyes staring at me! *shudder* :bsmilie: but i wasn't upset over the mantis shot though. It looked bad huh?

It was the evening shots at east coast that made me wanna

Yeah, i must admit i'm a tad impatient.. :embrass:

Really do feel like giving up but cannot ah esp when i just invested close to $1.5k for this new passion of mine. But more importantly, i am still passionate about it but just slightly frustrated with myself :bsmilie:

Thanks you and tSkye for comforting. Very nice of u guys :)

Decided to add some colours to my APAD :)

Kinda stopped baking cakes for sometime. Concentrated on bread instead lately which explains why i have so many bread photos :bsmilie:

This picture taken with a normal p&s camera, before i got my DSLR.

p.s : aiyak, a bit small ah the pic

Nice colors, the many layers of the cake makes one hungry. If you have a small mirror, place it facing front of the camera to give a little bit of light to the front part of the cake.

Thank you and thanks for the tips! :D

Will definitely do that as lighting is my no.1 concern

interesting. Not bad. :)

did this pizza shot make ur day?

That is a good idea to put both the plates and signature in the background. Pizza looks delicious but still need that mirror at the bottom right side!

I love this composition! ;p <- this should be a drooling feature!

I envy your family....always have delicious bakes to savour. :)

Yeah i know! I was searching high and low for a small mirror but don't have le... now that i think of it, maybe should use the compact powder's mirror! :D

Thank you for viewing and C&Cs. Appreciate it :)

Lol.. actually, they are so used to it [my bakes/dishes] that they don't see it as a 'wow' anymore. These days, i just gave them away.. Moreover, giving away is so much more satisfying! I get to see a lot of happy and eager faces! Hehe :)
