Its the same as taking at full res and resizing it by 50% or something hence the picture would look sharper and maybe less 'noisy'. arghhh i super gian the LX2

Read somewhere that sensor size and the amt of pixels affect the noise level.
So at the same sensor size, LX2 shoots at higher 10MP, might it have higher noise levels?

then y not take it at 10MP and then view it on your monitor/lcd without zooming in? :dunno:
unless you telling me your monitor resolution is more than 5MP, which is around 2560x1920 for normal 4:3 monitor/lcd. :bsmilie:

That's what I was wondering.

eh no... they use the same number of pixel to shoot else you get cropped photos or holes inbetween pixel... the smaller size is cause by in-camera resize... which is basically the same as resizing yourself from let say 10MP to 5MP with photoshop or any other tools

if going by ur theroy, my d50 will give me noiseless image @ ISO3200 if i use smaller resolution
