Looking for SCSI hard disk < 1 gigabyte

Post here because it is to be used in a high resolution plotting equipment.

The low capacity SCSI hard disk is hard to find nowadays.
It is unavailable at SLS or Funa.

The SCSI hard disk capacity must be less than 1 Gbyte, preferably around 500 Mbytes.
Sad to say that my plotting device can't format SCSI hard disk larger than 1 Gbyte.

Where can I buy such hard disk? Will consider used one if it is fully functional.

Any advise.

Thanks.

Standard 50-pin SCSI II , e.g. seagate model ST3390N.
To be exact, 50-pin (25 pins x 2 rows) IDC header/connector.

Thanks

Thanks for your reply.

Similar equipment here, but older model.

Yes, the low level format can be done on PC. But the machine level ( equivalent to high level formatting in PC) must be done on the equipment. Unfortunately the machine diagnostic test failed if installed hard disk capacity is beyond certain size. This is similar to much smaller storage space that can be supported by DOS vs Windows in PC environment.

The hard disk is not used to store rasterize data which are generated on-the-fly by transputers (parallel processors). This hard disk is used as temporary buffer for vector data input and hence required size is rather small.

Hard disk size between 100Mb to 700Mb are suitable as I have not experienced vector data beyond 100 Mbytes in my life.

regards.

hmmm...if you are adventurous enough, may be can try low level format a larger hard disk to smaller size, then bring over to plotter for high level format.

but if anything wrong during the low level format, u can say bye bye to the hard disk already
