please no F1 discussion here please.kopitiam got one thread on it.
i prefer to shoot from hotel room and i would like a scene of the ferrari with the city skyline as backdrop.
if i were to shoot just the car panning, it's no difference from the tons of pics you see here in the link posted by luval.
i think swissotel the stamford has rooms with balcony, so of course i wont shoot from the room with the window on.also, that's not a good way to feeeeeel the F1 roar.
i'm thinking of the usage of the lens after after the F1.what am i going to do with it?go birding with the nature guys here?:dunno:
i got a hunch 300 f 2.8 will be more 'suitable' for my needs in future.
at least, i can still do portraiture with it?:dunno:
but guys, 300f2.8 with TC2x, confirm pic wont be as sharp as 600mm f4 right?
Jeanie, that would be a good idea... Would like to have a beautiful birder to shoot when there is no birds ard.. Ok joke aside, why dont you just rent one for the event? it would solve yr problem of what to do with the lens after F1.
Generally I think a 300mm f2.8 would be better. its not easy to focus on the super fast car with a super tele. You will go like... alamak, where is the car. (we sometime have that problem when shooting birds). You would also need to learn the 2 eyes technic, one through the viewfinder and the other (most ppl close their left eye) to find the subject.
