'Live' view on a pro-spec'ed body: Yay or Nay?

Actually the LV is the 450D is quite good, although it doesn't LV-AF fast as a A350/300 but the viewing angle is very good if you crank up your LCD brightness... Try it someday...

It's the viewing angle... Yes... the A350/300 have a articulated LCD but the viewing angle is not as good the 450D... :think:

even then all these lcds are not nice , grainy mostly and small ?The panasonic G1 one i heard is a move in the right direction.

Grainy in low light yes.... Small no ,

G1's LV's contrast-detection AF is fast, compared to other dslr.. The A350/300 is using phase-detection AF instead...

Yay to this. It helped me compose my shots easier especially if I've got problem looking through the view-finder.

Like what most people say, "Live View" (LV) will soon be a "norm" for all DSLR cameras.

It's certainly useful in some scenarios where you will not have your eye on the eyepiece through the viewfinder.

I would love to have live view on my 1D mk2. However, I would not pay more for live view as I don't shoot macro and rarely shoot at odd angles.
