No need to discuss about free or pay deposit...
Cos in all probability, there will not be any more First Friday talk at SAM for the entire year.... nor will there be a ClubSNAP live at SAM next year etc.
Not worth time $ and effort.
Kind of sad to read this thread... considering how much effort all the mods/admins/speakers/volunteers put into this event. Even for just putting in very little work on mentoring the photowalks, I was already so tired and fell sick for 2 days after the event... I cannot imagine how tired the others will be...
some people have no shame nor gratitude. Good riddance.

I just have to put this out in the open so that members can see how much ClubSNAP has done for this event.
We spent more than $18,000 for this events, for all the logistic, preparation, publicity etc and $0 payment for the mods and volunteers.
All these are for who?
Its for members here who got to go for photo talks and walks for FREE by renowned speakers.
If the ppl behind ClubSNAP did not work hard over these years, do you think we can have the $ and resources to do 21 Photo talk, 3 Photo walks over a 2 days period. NO other organization in Singapore has done it before.
And yet we have ingrates who come in with unreasonable excuses and accusation .... ingrates like Shaoken has no place in this community and will be permanently banned regardless of nick he uses as we have his name and nric number and hp no and his face on photo.
Why should the mods and volunteers work so hard over the weekend, why Ed did not spend his birthday with his family but instead was at SAM from Fri afternoon thru Sun doing all these for CS, why Sebastian works late into the night and morning throughout last week preparing the talk list and answering so many PM, despite his having the busiest period at work and missing his birthday celebration. And why should I fork out $10k in cash upfront for this event, for ingrates to screw ClubSNAP up.
Most of the times these ppl just bite the bullet and continue to work quietly, without any need for praises and appreciation, but taking potshots and hitting them under the belt is way too much!!!

I'm cool boss...... I do this because I enjoy the friendships here with the guys(we talking both regular CS'ers and Mods here ) (u know who you are) over the years ... and I am sure Sebastian and the other mods too
My outburst the other day was abnormal of my normal nature , so i apologize for shocking some of you guys ......
Just too shagged out and mentally drained especially over the final few weeks leading up to last weekend's events and Shaoken won the lucky jackpot in getting to push that button that sent me ballastic .... hell, I shocked MYSELF lolzz !!
