THE MOST FUN
Chinese New Year at the new Punggol Waterway Point. It's a fact the kids have the most fun during festivity. Even my shutter-clicking finger had problem keeping up.
TERMS OF ENDEARMENT
This grainy photo of Miss Cutie is the result of low light condition indoor and it being 3-stop under exposed. Pardon the technicality but the wonders of shooting in high ISO and in raw format provided me with this photo opportunity. The result is this grainy capture of an endearing moment. I missed my daughter when she's this age.
HAVING A BALL
Kendama fever. It's good to see the youths putting aside the digital platform and getting into some physical fun instead. Some of the tricks I witnessed they can do with this traditional stick and ball are so creative and astounding. Yo-Yo has a serious competitor.
GOOD COMPANY
Wheels revolutionised much of our modern transportation. They shortened our travelling time. But any journey is a short one if we have good company.
THE PRINCESS
The playground provides many scenarios for different children. It's a place where imagination runs wild. Picture another galaxy under this structured shade, or a kingdom where a princess rises to save the day. Keep imagining, princess, don't ever stop. It's the birthplace to many dreams.
DRESS CODE
The street doesn't care what I wear when I arrive. It only cares that I visit it once in a while. This vendor who determined his own dress code attested to this.
APPRECIATING THE MOMENTS
"Life is not made up of minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years, but of moments. You must experience each one before you can appreciate it." - Sarah Ban Breathnach
SUDDEN HUNGER
Bak Kwa is a popular Chinese delicacy in Singapore of barbecued pork slices. They are insanely tasty and are commonly bought during Chinese New Year occasions. I wish I could depict the incredible aroma that surrounded this photo.
I COME IN PEACE
I was totally mesmerised by this character. I didn't know what intrigued me more, the mysterious all-concealing headgear or the sci-fi-like whatever he was holding. I heard myself saying I need to take a photo just in case he shoots me with that weapon and whatever is flesh on me disintegrated into powder. My camera will then hold proof that I've encountered someone other-worldly. Disappointingly, nothing happened as I passed. Not even a "take me to your leader". Obviously he came in peace.
