Don't agree with you guys, Owen is still among the best strikers in Europe. If you put your hatred and biase views towards him aside, you will realise that he will still make a difference in any team he goes, whether you like it or not.

His conduct towards Liverpool was a shame, but a fact is a fact, he is still a very good striker.

jose is rubbish. period. ha!

that I agree, that words from his mouth are such.

but still, it is a fact that he is a winner.

and no, I don't like his sulky face and attitude at all.

if he is willing to take a pay cut... why not ?

the fact remains that mickey owen is a top rate striker. we don't dispute this fact. his records speak for himself.

but a top rate striker that is unwanted at the world's 'richest' club?
maybe they happen to have too many 'top-rate' strikers too. ha!

maybe the playing style is not suited to him. oh, how i pity him! :bsmilie:

anyway, he is history and if he joins our arch rival, he will never be ranked as a LEGEND in the likes of Rush, Dalglish, Keegan.. etc.etc.

we thank him for his years of service rendered to LIVERPOOL F.C. may he find success where-ever he goes to.

i don't think Rafa Benitez likes to have a player who could hold the club to ransom... Stevie G nearly ended up as one.

now Milan Baros is 'paying' for his 'alledged' claims that he'll welcome a move to Barcelona. that might have caused unrest among the players. so, he is hang around like a piece of meat and listed as 'unwanted' and 'for sale'.

but of course, if he's not sold at the end of the month, we can still have a top-rate striker in our ranks. how blissful!

i can only say he brought it upon himself. left Liverpool in a limbo and moved to Real Madrid to play third fiddle striker and now, tossed and thrown around like a piece of meat... i feel sad for him, not!

i dun know why u feel sad or him..Indeed I think he is happy there.

U see..he always played as 1st the striker when he was with LFC. there is no challenge for him. he took a paid cut to a new country..he did mention the reasons for him is to improve and take on new challenge.

now in Real Madrid, he has so much to learn from Ronaldo and Robinho how to be a True World Class Striker...and he has 3-4 strikers ahead of him to challenge.

he get what he wants with Real....I think we should not feel sad for him. he is happy man there...Dream fufilled.

Owen and MU empthy handed...Liverpool - The European Champion.

Dun care much about the empty handed loser...we are more concerned about the Champion.

another one... one slice and blood oozes out!

Owen should stay on and challenge for his place!!

I believe it is not much about Owen's personal salary. It is about the asking price from Real.

If imagine we sold him 8m and buy back at 15m a year later....even the maid working at Rick Parry house would know LFC management is an idiot.

as for this point, i agree. reading this ARTICLE makes my blood boil.

signing Owen back for more than we sold him??? :sticktong

besides these players are multi millionaires earning PEANUTS no matter which way u look at it.

no matter how much a pay cut they are willing to take, they are still earning PEANUTS.
now, if mickey owen readily took a pay cut to sign up for Real Madrid, would he do the same now, if LIVERPOOL were to move in for him?

its all about the PEANUTS THEORY.

Milan Baros is hardly what I will call a top-rate striker, always run around like headless chicken. :bsmilie: If he is, many top clubs will be knocking on the doors already

Totally agree, that is prob the reason why Liverpool will not sign him back, plain silly. He was sold at undervaluation which was really stupid.

boss wanna let him go mainly due to the fact that he does not fit into the plans anymore, ala mickey over at real. ha!

maybe because baros can be an 'unsettling' influence to the rest of the team. :bsmilie:
