Both Lyon and Valencia attempted to sign Baros this summer, but neither move materialised.
Baros is now calm about his future and insists that every major club needs four strikers and that he is ready to fight the likes of Fernando Morientes and Djibril Cisse for a first team place.
The Czech star was asked whether he was disappointed about the failure to secure a move away from the club.
"There is no reason to be disappointed," he explained.
"Anything can still happen, I can still leave. This possibility is not eliminated.
"I did not want to hurry something and also that is why I remain at Liverpool.
"I have been here for three and half-a-years and I am satisfied.
"I still work for Liverpool and I want to do my best for them.

When the scoreline is 1-1, and we are playing at home for 3points, Figo is good to be sub in at 65th. HE still can create some wonder touch...although his pyhsical nowadays could not match the full 90min of the high tempo EPL games.
Would be useful if he can play in European Game and to pass some experience to the youngester.
BUt he must take a major pay cut...we are no charity society to food his $$$$$$ bill.
A big name player like Figo joining would be good. But it seems that Liverpool only wants Figo if there is no transfer fee involved.

His fitness may be down a bit and quickness no there.. but he is still a very good player, esp for freekicks which we s*cks! Moreover, he's more of a conventional winger and can player as secondary striker or in the hole. Overall, should be a good capture. 2m pound can't even buy wayne routeledge and Real paid 37m pound for Figo 5 years ago... not a bad piece of business.

As i said..he can be the play maker..but not playing full 90m. Unless he is only playing the most 1 game a week.

I could still remember he was being tricked by Zenden in the match against Boro and he tried to turn and run..then just fall down without much he can do.
Luckily we have Zenden this season and no more Pelle.
Should give chance to Whitebred , Potter, Welseha and Sinama more playing opportunity in FA and League CUp.
Even talent also need a platform to perform and advance from there.
I agree we must play youngsters like how we involved Warnock last season... but dun throw them into deep end when they are not ready. It may affect their confidence. Of the youngsters, i think all are very good and i hope Mellor can develop into a good striker. Sinama also very quick and tricky but too small size.

size does matter..but whether small size or big size is good....it depend how u play the style that suit u to best.. it is not a definately good or bad..
romario and bebeto were once most lethal striking partner in the world. also one of the shortest pair
