Not entirely true...
Leeds won the league when they were promoted... Strachan was still playing for them then.
Likewise, Fulham, Birmingham, Bolton, Charlton etc have done well over the past 5-10 years to consolidate and stay competitive.

Those big clubs like Ipswich, Nottingham Forest, Sheff Wed, Leeds of yesterdays have suffered as they don't make the immediate jump back to EPL....

You forgot Newcastle, the best among the lot. But i think what giddygoat meant was the clubs that got promoted this few seasons. Many of them struggled.

no footy for 2 months...

that's a very wise move by man utd, if u can ever call them wise! hehehe

very good move. rio ferdinand is a trouble maker. always getting involve in gang-bang and scuffles with the media and fans. over paid and young, a very dangerous cocktail.

wonder where's he heading to... West ham? ;p

rio is the no.1 fair-weathered player the game has ever known.

left west ham for leeds
from leeds to man utd of all clubs.
and now he's whining at man utd over the supposedly 'low salary'.

on top of it all, he has courted controversy as if it is Pamela Anderson. orgies, wild parties, alledged drug abuse, fights etc.etc.

his footballing talent is unquestioned. he'll be an asset to any team that signs him! :bsmilie:

Michael Owen has insisted that he is happy to remain with Real Madrid and spelt out his desire to help them start winning trophies again next season.

wahahaha

help them win trophies, AGAIN! hahahaha :bsmilie:

I hope real madrid lose man... Dun like to see money take over the basic essence of football aka team spirit

I appreciate what Owen did to help Liverpool to win Champion League.

His departure really damn good to LFC.

Because we really dun want any member in the team who did not believe the team could win tittle..If owen stayed..he could demoralise the whole team...

Thanks god he left us.

as Rafa said...everything is possible...Come back from 3-0 also possible.

What a pair of strikers England had! 1 giant in Peter Crouch and 1 midget in Michael Owen! Owen is now England's 4th top scorer of all time. His goals ratio for the national side is really impressive.

i read that too..really salute him and love this kind of player who play for LFC.. another tough German..

it broguht the memory that 3-4 years ago...we had used up all sub and babbel was injured.. Houllier asked him out but he rather stayed in the play. at around 85th min...he headed the eqauliser to draw with southampon..

in contrast...baros still mourned for missing out the chance to join baca after more than half a season had gone... :sticktong
