it's okie if those players don't want to win medals with Liverpool.
 

i wish we can do what man utd do.. have a large base of medal winning young player that passed thru the ranks of acadamy..... they shall be called rafa fledgelings

I think it;s not really true anymore after Beckham's batch,...after them, who is from their academy? Maybe John O shea and darren flectcher and both are not really that great.... We have Warnock..., Welsh also pretty good but left (on loan?), Whitbread...Potter etc,... i think we have more up and coming local young players than Man U, Arsenal or Chelsea...

heh heh....not every day is sunday la. This kinda thing is only once in a blue moon. The reason why you see more Liverpool's up and coming local players because Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd's squad hasn't got space for them. Harder for them to break into the 1st team. :)

Want to see young boys play gotta what the League cup. Chelsea can even field a 2nd first team squad. :confused:
 

Yes.... chelsea is filthy rich now... but is it sustainable when you lost over 50m pound a year? Moreover, given the russian experience, i would not be surprise if Roman be charged with some sort of crime if he gets into the way of Putin... Then we will see the Great Chelsea sale.. lelong lelong....SWP for 2m pound anyone...!!
 

how come no EPL this thread also dead har? Nado injured now... so sad..... luckily we still got lots of strikers..... hopefully wun be like last season no strikers....

don't flame me but don't you think england played a bit like liverpool had been lately. 4-5-1, striker out of position in the wings, lacking in creativity in the final third, not enough width, and cannot score goals for nuts.
i am a little worried about our game with spurs.

4-5-1 is strategy for continental football lah..... meaning against spain, italy those type.... not against english or Great Britan team... wales, ireland, scotland.... all these teams play the same one.... 4-5-1 against them... no good.... 5-3-2 with long ball will be nice.... :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:
 

eriksson must be a liverpool fan. he used to play 4-4-2 long ball like houllier, now he follow rafa.:bsmilie:

Serves them right the cocky English ;-)

The manager really isn't too smart using the players the way he did. Any sensible onlooker can tell that David Beckham has no place in the middle. He should be used as a one half player on the wing. Maybe as a sub for a proper winger. Lampard and Gerrard seem to have the same central role - can you blame them if they're not sure who should do what?

Every now and then, they should NOT qualify for the World Cup just to wake them up. It'll be fun and games if they lose their last game to Poland. I am looking forward to a repeat of 1974.................

Hmmmm.... I thought they also did not qualify in the not so distant world cup? Think Graham taylor was the manager at that time... was it USA 94 or France 98

You need to dig further back into the English World Cup qualifying history.

Lato and Shilton were both on the pitch that happy night at Wembley when Poland beat them in their last group game and went on to qualify at England's expense. :bsmilie:
 

heheheh anways, the only thingi like abt england is the fans when they start singing here we go..... heheheh after Italy '90 never see that spirit anymore.... so sad.... :think:

I agree man. Eriksson is clueless. He needs a DMC and Nicky Butt is the best in England. Owen is not suitable to play as lone SC. He needs Rooney behind him. But Eriksson wanna copy Fergie and play him in the left flank.

Gerrard and Lampard cannot partner in midfield. too similar type. Cole and Wright-philips should start at the wings and Butt and Lampard in the center. Becks and Gerrard should be drop but he got no balls to do so. :bsmilie: As good as Gerrard is at Liverpool, he is simply not up to it in Internationals.

Not that Gerrad is not up to it at internationals.... its just that he is avioding injury.... :bsmilie: Just like ronaldo and company used to find excuses to miss brazil world cup qualifiers..... lets face it, all the stars dun wanna play qualifiers... all just wanna play in the world cup...
