My processing kit.

Top left : Pail - this act as my hot water bath. I filled it with about 2 inch high of hot water of maybe about 100- 80 degree hot.
Bottom Left : Paterson Orbitary Processor. A light proof processor. it can take up to 4 sheets of 4x5

Top Right : I used 3 metal flasks to contain my 3 Tetenal chemicals. Each flask cost $1.50 from those Value dollar stores. When place in the hot water bath, the heat will be transfer fast to the chemicals in a short period of time allowing the chemicals to reach 38 degree quickly. See the next photo for a close up of the bottles. The 4th bottle is the stabliser (20 degree).

Bottom: Beakers, funnels, thermometers, gloves & apron (not shown). I used a beaker as a cool water bath in case i need to bring down the chemicals if they stay too long in the hot water bath. Beakers, funnels, thermometers should be washed after every use to prevent contamination of the chemicals. Gloves & apron are for personal protection.

Metal flasks ($1.50 each). First Developer, Color Developer and Bleach/Fix. Color coded and marked out and marked as POISON (oops i wrote wrongly ).

Three cheers for ZGuy!

Good sharing!! Cheers for ZGuy!!

Still trying to figure How can it be done if i'm processing it one person. Doing the rolling (i'm using jobo 2520 drum, rolling or inversion development makes big difference in chemical usage), pouring hot/cold water for temperature control, and etc all together by one person, chances of screwing thing up will be damn high:(

Anyone has experience with Novatronic Heater before?

Ahhhh, the worry of someone who didn't attend the demo.:bsmilie:

Need to buy a Novatronic Heater some more...

that's why i'm looking for another demo session.:embrass:

must forgive people with slow action.;)

Haha, I have a Nova heater if you want, unused, cost is quite high though as I got it from the UK. I don't forsee myself needing a heater for my next processing.

Let me recap what SK did. He used a two cylinders method.

One big cylinder for the bath, and one smaller measuring cylinder for the chemical.

Due to smaller volume of the inner cylinder, the temperature can be adjusted by the hot water in the bigger one.

Once the desired temperature is set, the developing can start.

The lesson learned in SK's method is, temperature NEED NOT be regulated throughout the 6 minutes or 4 minutes of soaking.
The used of the Jobo tank need be pre-heated in the wash process.

And the result was good.

sounds very promising.;p

i think i should find some chemicals to try it out myself...

anyone mind selling me a smaller quantity of chemical to try out before i plunge into losheng's mass order?:)

Small volume is 1 thing, distance require for heat to travel to the middle of the cylinder is another thing. Using such setup allow heat to travel faster. Try heating a bottle from the external and check the core temperature. Stir the solution inside and cool your thermometer down, then check the core temperature again. I'm sure you will get what I mean. :)

I have a small lot that I got from wootsk in the past. Think should mix to 1L of working solution.

great!;p how to get it from you? and when would it be convenient?:)

有 人 中 毒 了

His case should be quite the same as master billy. High amount of AgNO3 can be found his inside the bloodstream. He will need the below prescription. (Everything taken before meal and in order)

10ml of liquid collodion

Within 10 minutes after taking the first medicine:
15ml of Metol, Hydroquinone and Borax
Lots of water after 6 minutes
2 gram of Ammonium Thiosulfate in 15ml of water

Pee everything out on a plate of clear plastic and you can see him getting cured as some image slowly from on the clear plastic.:bsmilie:

I can run black and white no issue in my house.

When it comes to E6 or C41, still very careful, even though my toilets have good KDK exhaust fans.

Especially if you have kids at home, better be very very careful.
The air in Singapore is already bad enough (especially if you live in the south west region).

Jobo tank and old equipment all recalled....

From the old books, E6 has simplified a lot from the past.

here are the safety notes on the Tetenal manual :
*******************
The usual safety measures regarding care in the handling of chemicals should be observed when using these products. Use a protective barrier cream before
commencing work. Wash your hands thoroughly after work, and apply a skincare cream. Always use adequate means of protection (safety goggles, gloves,
overalls), and ensure sufficient ventilation in the workplace at all times.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not ingest chemicals. Keep these products out of reach of children and store away from foodstuffs at all times. Label all storage
containers in a clear, permanent and unambiguous manner.

First aid measures in the event of:
Skin contact: Wash with ample water and soap; consult a doctor if necessary.
Eye contact: Rinse for 15 minutes with water; consult an eye specialist.
Swallowing: Keep packaging and consult a doctor immediately.
Further details can be obtained from the safety data sheets or from the indications on the packaging.

Gloves and apron are available for $2 from Daiso :) Those big lock tight boxes are good for keeping these chemicals from children. :)

the chemical thingy really sounds scary after reading more;(

I just brought 6 plastic square bottles ( 800ml / bottle ) from DAISO. ( $2 each ).

My film developing tank is 800ml ( max capacity ). Fits exactly :)

i'll be getting 1L of fujihunt E6 chemical from Knight's portion. Any idea where to get containers for that? Jobo one seems quite ex.
