Know some friends have problems with their nikon dslrs too.

Anyone one else has got the "CHA" error?

I got hit by this several times. The camera just hangs and will not fire. The lcd display on my NIKON D70s just keeps blinking "CHA". This happened on my camera with my 2 Lexar cards.

This has happened on a Nikon D70 too. My friend's camera with his Lexar card.

And, yes, it happened on the Lexar cards that have the new firmware too.

Can I have an indication from Nikon users, whether you have this problem too? :dunno:

this CHA errors still happen to recent Lexar CF? 1GB and 2GB?

It happened to me quite recently... new batch with the new label. But Convergent was nice enough to have it replaced and reported the problem to Lexar as well. This happened when using the card with D70 and D200.

The replacement card hasn't failed on me yet... touch wood. :)

I had the same problem with a card bought in December ... Was shooting the funeral wake of a family member and suddenly got a CHA error ... To make matters worse, the Image Recovery cannot recover majority of the image ... it would recover about 20%++ of the image then gave an error message and stop.

My whole disk failed on me and showed that it contained no images. But I could get them all back accessing the disk using a card reader, less those that couldn't write successfully.
