just curious, if we visit Japan, how do we order by this lens from Amazon Japan?
do they have a shop for walk in customer?

If going to JApan, maybe just buy off trusted physical stores like those in SG?

If going Japan on holiday, you will need to order your items from Amazon jp 2 Weeks in advance and have them ship to your hotel. Then drop a mail to ya hotel to inform them of ya purchase, have them hold for you until you check in. once you are there, your toy will be waiting for u. And if theres any problem, you can contact Amazon on the first day of ya trip to exchange or have the hotel help u arrange.

When I was at Alan Photo Funan on Saturday 20/10/2012, I saw a set boxed. But not sure if there is stock. You may want to call and check.

Hi for those of you who have used the Oly 12-50 and now bought the Panasonic 12-35, how's the difference in color/sharpness, besides the aperture difference?

I'm so used to my fixed aperture f/4 zoom lens that it takes some getting used to with variable aperture on the Oly 12-50. But for the price I think it performs not too bad.

Just wondering if there is a lot more Wow and Punch in the Panasonic. This thread is poisonous!

I did not do much tests, but F4.0 on this lenses is already quite sharp for me. F2.8 is a bit soft on the edge as per reviews, but very usable. Now waiting for the 35-100.

I used another method, is to send to any lawson store nearby hotel. Sending to hotel and asking them to hold makes me worried unless I had a confirmed room number, and some hotels may charge for a handling fee.

Buying from amazon jp may require credit card to be confirmed to USA, and it can only be done by fax with the latest statement that shows your account and name.
